I suppose it all began the summer of 2002. I had graduated school, got a job, had some money so I bought an arc and mig/wire welders and started building the MA with Doug. All we got done was building the base frame, this was in part due to interruptions from the IUPUI battle bot team and the building of TargetBot. In any event the following year Doug moved away and nothing really got done. It's hard for me to make the 'ready to weld' decisions alone. It was however decided in a conversation with Joe that leaf springs would somehow be used in the construction of the MA.
